Activity 1: Deepening your systems thinking

This Systems Change Chatbot has been trained on a mix of systems thinking theory and frameworks, complexity theory, indigenous systems thinking, systems change, and other systems literature.

Use this chatbot for general explorations of systems change and how to apply the concepts. You can test ideas, identify new levers for change, and get feedback on your ideas.

Ready to get started?  Try describing a specific problem or systemic strategy and asking for input on how to strengthen it. Or, ask questions about systems jargon you've heard before and want to understand better.

Suggested follow-up prompts:

  • As you look at your own answers, please identify what legal, social and ideological points of view your answers are most aligned with related to the issue. Please also identify the legal, social, and ideological points of view that your answers are not aligned with.

  • What are ways I can better understand power dynamics in this system, including hidden and more visible types of power?

Activity 3: Exploring how narratives affect policy actions

This Narratives and Policy Change Chatbot has been trained to help you make sense of how a specific population has been constructed via social perceptions, narratives, and power. It will then explore the implications for the types of policy solutions likely to be used in response to the needs of the population. Its training is entirely based on the policy framework: Social Construction of Target Populations.

Ready to get started?  Briefly describe a specific population or group you are interested in better understanding. You will be asked follow-up questions to build a profile of their social construction before moving into an exploration of policy implications.
